Universal Insurance Holdings, Inc. Announces Common Stock Repurchase Program

 

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — (MARKET WIRE) — 06/25/2008 — Universal Insurance Holdings, Inc. (AMEX: UVE), a vertically integrated insurance holding company, today announced that its board of directors has authorized the Company to repurchase up to $3,000,000 of its shares of outstanding common stock. Under the repurchase program, management is authorized to repurchase shares through December 31, 2008, with block trades permitted, in open market purchases or in privately negotiated transactions at prevailing market prices in compliance with applicable securities laws and other legal requirements. To facilitate repurchases, the Company plans to make purchases pursuant to a Rule 10b5-1 plan, which will allow the Company to repurchase its shares during periods when it otherwise might be prevented from doing so under insider trading laws.
